2013 Final Results >>

The 2012 fell champion is Matt Beresford seen here in The Mountain Trial. Matt won 5 from 6 of the championship events he entered only being pipped by Paul Dugdale in the short Sedbergh Sports race so is a worthy winner so many congratulations.

Allan Miller was a very creditable runner up completing 8 of the 10 races and winning( for Kendal that is) in 3 of them despite his usual shoe problems. Phil Clark had a late surge of success in 3rd place and Dave Banks showing consistency in 4th. Paul Simpson and Matt Pearman tied in 5th.

It was good to see the championship much more competitive despite matt's dominance with 7 members completing the requisite 5 races from 10 so this augers well for next season.

I'm sorting next years events out shortly so any suggestions or requests will be appreciated.

As you will see below the final standings for the season just finished show that Allan Miller deservedly won the 2011 fell championship quite comfortably, having completed more races (7 from 9) than anyone else. Rigby Jerram was the only other club member to complete the necessary 5 races so he finished runner up. Paul Simpson finished a very creditable 3rd despite a long lay off with injury. Nobody has suggested an alternative format for the championship though I am open to your ideas as to how we could get more members scoring more points. Details of a presentation night will be posted when agreed with winner. Sometime in January hopefully when he is back from the Antipodes!
