Kendal Athletic Club
We
are a small friendly Athletic Club centred on the lovely market town
of Kendal in South Lakeland Cumbria and surrounded by some of the
best terrain for running in the country. We welcome athletes,
runners, joggers and walkers of all ages and ability. Have a look
round our site, then come and join us for a run. |

Road Running
There are organised pack runs throughout the
year leaving Kendal Leisure Centre at 18:30 every Wednesday evening
and 10:00 am every Sunday Morning. You will find us at most of races in the
north west you don't have to a member of a club to
enter a road races
or
run with us but it
will save you money if you do and give you the opportunity to compete as a team.

Fell Running
Kendal is a
superb location for fell running ( we call our hills fells) and many good
fell runners live in this area. Many of us enjoy the variety of mixing
fell, road and cross country running.
Fell running
races are varied from the very short and steep to ultra marathons . If you join a club such as Kendal you can benefit from our
experiences and we can advise you about choosing races.

Cross Country
In the
winter months the club competes in the mid Lancs cross country league you must
be a member of a club to compete in these races. Distances you run differ from
age and sex. All standards of runners are welcome and you must enjoy mud. You really need specialist footwear eg running spikes.
