Hawkshead 10k Wednesday 29th June

Another superb turnout and a great night ,the light drizzle on the night stopped just in time for the superb Kings Arms Barbecue

thanks to everyone for turning up especially all the marshals and there were some cracking runs

the race was won in 32mins 17 secs by Chris Winward of Barrow who was crowned Cumbria 10k Champion

Hazel Jones break from school trip to Borrowdale was well rewarded with first lady in 41mins 49secs and completed the Cumbria Double of winners and Champions

 Within Kendal AC

 Rob Harper was our first runner home finishing in a superb 12th place 36:35 as his star continues to rise as does Dick Gorst who had a fine run in 22nd place 38:10. Further back Junior Peter Jones ran a controlled race to get a pb of 42:48 which he was delighted with.

Thanks again to everyone that turned especially the large contingent of Wesham runners who take part in our races its very much appreciated its must be a very late night for many of them.
